RELIEF PRINTING: JUNE 7 & 8
REDUCTION PRINTING: 21, 22 June & July 6

Join me in my studio in Harolds Cross for a series of one-day printing
workshops this summer.
Two different workshops will take place.
RELIEF PRINTING WORKSHOPS:
During this workshop we will learn about relief printing with lino. Throughout the day we will learn about image composition, how to prepare images for carving, transferring images to the lino block, carving techniques and colour mixing. Participants will learn how to use all the associated tools, how to mix inks and how to make prints using an etching press. Suitable for beginners. (JUNE 7 & 8 10 - 4pm)
REDUCTION PRINTING WORKSHOP:
During this workshops participants will learn how to create 2 or 3 colour prints using the reduction lino technique. Using one block of lino participants learn how to plan their design colour by colour. The carving method and sequence, how to register their prints and how to combine and mix colours, and printing on an etching press. Suitable for people who have some previous printing experience. (21, 22 June & July 6, 10 -4pm)
In both workshops we will work in a small group, learning and exchanging
best practice together throughout the day.
It is recommended that you bring an image with you
that you would like to work on, we will work on A5 scale (14.8 cm x 21cm).
The workshop will run from 10 - 4 pm.
All materials are supplied.

Rinn Aun
Artist Book, National Print Musuem

This book was inspired by Ringsend’s history as a fishing village. A series of linocuts inspired by the areas maritime history and contemporary bioshphere it was printed on the Vandercook no.4 in the National Print Museum, the type Rockerfellar was hand set and the concertina format book was bound by hand. The exhibitoin was supported by the Irish Design and Crafts Council of Ireland.
River & Ridge
A.I.R. Dublin City University
River & Ridge is the culmination if my residency at DCU, where I collaborated with historical geogrpaher Dr. Ruth Mc Manus. The solo exhibition took place in the Cregan Library, St. Patricks Campus, DCU. This residency was supported by the Arts Council Ireland’s Agility Award.
