My work is informed by interaction with different environments and people.
What unites this research is an interest in tension and fragility in our society.
Through visiting different places and by superposing various cultural perspectives I explore a region's character by looking at its topography and social history,
I’ve been building a body of work using cartographic representations to question how we inhabit space and create a sense of community. The fragility and ephemeral nature of the materials I use echo the inherent unease that lies within this question.
The work I make is predominantly paper-based installation and drawing and informed by a range of interests including architecture, urbanism, and social geography and the formal potential inherent in materials.
I develop my work through a studio-based practice in Pantin, Ile de France.
